Benefit dinner, auction to be held for voice of the Wild

Tickets are available for the Wild for Uncle Ernie benefit dinner and auction at Town Toyota Center on Saturday, Aug. 18.

WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Wild will hold a dinner and auction to benefit the team’s public address announcer Ernie Rodriguez, who has been hospitalized with serious health problems for two months.

The Wild for Uncle Ernie event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 at Town Toyota Center. Tickets are $28 in advance and $35 at the door.

All proceeds will go to Rodriguez and his family to help cover his medical bill and the familiy’s day-to-day living.

The event will also allow ticket holders a chance to meet the 2012-13 Wenatchee Wild lineup and new head coach Bliss Littler.

Tickets and auction donation forms are available through the Wild, Town Toyota Center, KOHO Radio, Cherry Creek Radio, Country 104.7 KKRV and Sunny FM.
