EAST WENATCHEE — The Write on the River organization will hold the “Writers Meeting Writers: Four Minutes of Fame” event from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Upper Eastside Coffee Company, 1610 Grant Road.

Writers can sign up for “rapid reading” time at the microphone to read their poetry, essays, fiction writing, journal entries, memoirs excerpts, or novel excerpts. The free event is to help writers try out their writing.
