Fire damages contents of bedroom

WENATCHEE — Fire that broke out about 9:40 p.m. Thursday burned curtains and some contents of a bedroom in a Wenatchee residence.

There was no structural damage, said Mark Yaple, Wenatchee fire marshal. The home, at 627 S. Elliott Ave, was occupied by Ralph and Verdonna Morse. Ralph Morse apparently discovered the fire when he was walking upstairs. Firefighters responded to the scene after a 911 call from the home.

The cause is under investigation, Yaple said.
