Library receives $20,000 grant

CHELAN — The Chelan Friends of the Library will receive a $20,000 grant from the Icicle Fund for the library’s renovation project.

The Icicle Fund is a foundation dedicated to funding groups that support the arts, the environment and history in North Central Washington.

The Chelan Library will move into the former Masonic Temple on Emerson Street when that building’s renovation is complete. The renovation and expansion of the library is a joint project of the Friends of the Library and the City of Chelan. Their efforts have raised $105,838 toward the $160,000 campaign goal.
