The Wenatchee World will publish local vacation Bible schools throughout the summer in the weekly Articles of Faith section. Want your church to be included? We need to know the name of your church, street address, name or theme of the vacation Bible school, ages of children invited, times and dates, activities, cost, phone number and whether advance registration is required.
Mall to hold Kids Club throughout the year
EAST WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Valley Mall, 511 Valley Mall Parkway, will hold a free Kids Club from noon to 2 p.m. the second Saturday of each month throughout the year. The club is for children ages 3 to 12 and will be held in the space across from Bath & Body Works.
Preschool offering ‘Learn through Play’ sessions
WENATCHEE — The Greater Wenatchee Parent-Child Preschool, 1103 Fifth St., has planned “Learn through Play” summer adventure days this summer. The free sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to noon every Tuesday beginning July 2.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Dawson Hoyt recently graduated from basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Hoyt, a 2010 Waterville High School graduate, is the son of Diana and Ken Hoyt of Manson.

Apple Blossom float wins awards in parades
WENATCHEE — The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival float received the Outstanding Community Float Award at the Manson Apple Blossom parade on May 11.
Wenatchee FFA students attend state
PULLMAN — Wenatchee FFA students recently attended the 83rd annual Washington State FFA Convention at the WSU campus in Pullman this month. The chapter place 10th overall in the National Chapter competition.
Schooley named Petite Miss Washington Sweetheart
NCW — Hope Schooley, 9 of East Wenatchee, won the title of Petite Miss Washington Sweetheart in an April 20 pageant in Spokane. Schooley was one of five contestants in her age group — 7- to 9-year-olds. She is the daughter of Kim and Don Schooley of East Wenatchee.
