Artist Of The Week-The Rabble

Blog: Punk On

Coming from way down under, that would be New Zealand, comes "The Rabble". The band was formed back in 2001 by brothers Chazz Hill-Hyar, then 14 on guitar and vocals and Rupert Hill-Hyar then 15 on drums and vocals. They have been through a few line ups over the years and currently they have become a three piece with the bass duties being done by Jamie Douglass.

They have released one EP and four Lp's over the years pretty much using the D.I.Y. attitude by self producing their own albums with their latest "Life's A Journey" being released in August of last year. They have toured rather extensively over the past three years in New Zealand, Australia and Europe but alas they have yet to hit the states.

Off of their first cd, "No Clue, No Future" 2006 is "Friday Night".

Next is "Start Again" off of their 2009 release "The Battle's Almost Over".

I haven't found any video from their latest album but the following "Bored" is also off of their 2009 release.

Hopefully their extensive touring will lead them to the states.
