Show Of The Week Pt.1- Susie's Senior Project
Blog: Punk On
February 28, 2012
The first show of the week is happening this Friday March 2 and there's something a bit unique about it. The event is known as "Susie's Senior Project". It appears, according to various web sites, that Susie Chavez of Cascade High School in Leavenworth, decided that for her senior project she would put on a concert of the rock and roll kind. It appears, also according to various web sites, that Wenatchee's own Snatchee records are involved with the project, "kudo's" guys.
The show will be at Cascade High School in Leavenworth. Doors open at 5:00 pm with the show starting at 6:00 pm and ending at 9:00 pm (means this old guy can get to bed on time). The cost is only $5 at the door with proceeds going to the music program of Cascade High. This is also an all ages event which means I shouldn't get hit by the occasional flying "PBR" (past experiences).
The line up for the event includes the headliner from Bellingham "Sugar Sugar Sugar" a three piece that's been together since 2007.

The openers include "Tusk" a three piece from Leavenworth, "Jip Sea Party" an eight piece (?) from Wenatchee, "The Female Fiends" a four piece from Kent/Seattle and "Nora B".
So come up to Leavenworth for what should be a killer show plus it'll help Susie get a good grade. Is there a new local production company in the future? "Susie Productions Presents", has a nice ring to it.
As a side note, after Susie's Show, Sugar Sugar Sugar, Tusk and Jip Sea Party are playing a second show at The Outpost Saloon in beautiful downtown Monitor. Show starts at 9:00 pm, there's a $5 cover and this is a 21+ event.
